Privacy & Data Handling Notice
What Arthanvay does with your financial data, in plain words. Arthanvay is a controlled hosted service: your statements are processed, and your financial history is stored, on servers — not on your device.
Draft — not yet in force
This notice describes the controlled hosted service Arthanvay is preparing. Statements marked “Coming before launch” depend on controls that are not yet in place or verified; they take effect only when the service launches.
What we never do
- We never sell your personal financial data or use it for advertising. Arthanvay shows no ads.
- We use no analytics, advertising, error-reporting or tracking service.
- Coming before launchWe send emails only for invitations and password resets.
- We make no legal compliance or certification claim, and the service comes with no service-level agreement.
Your statement file
- When you import a statement, our server reads the file to prepare your review. The file itself is not saved to the database.
- We remember a short code made from the file, so we can tell if you upload the same statement twice, and its name with long numbers hidden.
- Only the transactions you confirm are saved.
- A locked PDF's password is used once to open it, and is never stored or logged.

Who can access your data
- Coming before launchWe don't look at your financial data. Our admin tools never show it, and every access to our servers is logged.
Who can use Arthanvay
- Coming before launchAnyone can join a waitlist, but only explicitly approved email addresses can create an account and sign in. An approval expires 14 days after it is granted and is used up when the account is created. Deleting an account does not restore its approval.
How long we keep things
- Your transactions and everything worked out from them are kept until you delete them, or your account.
Export and deletion
- You can export everything Arthanvay holds for you as one file, at any time, from Settings → Privacy & Data.
- “Delete all my data” permanently deletes your transactions, statements and imports, accounts, assets and liabilities, goals, categories and remembered rules, and their history. Your sign-in stays.
- “Delete my account” deletes all of that and your sign-in, at once.
No backups — your data can be permanently lost
- Arthanvay offers no backup or recovery of your data.
- A failure of the server or its storage, a mistake or a software bug can permanently lose your data, and it cannot be recovered.
- Keep your own copy: export your data regularly.
